CELLON®, a material made of cellulose and phenolic resin, is highly resistant against a wide range of influences such as weather but also to light, scratching or bumping. With a thickness of 6, 8 or 10 mm the material is very thin compared to GRC that is used for perforated panels, but pass every hardness tests. CELLON® is stable and unbreakable: best conditions for a perfect alternative to a GRC facade cladding. With this alternative GRC facade the most filigree perforations can be realized and the panels are stable even when thinner than GRC. Based on CAD drawings architects and other builders can realize individual designs as well as they can choose from a wide range of proposals from the repertoire of BRUAG AG. The plates are precisely cut with laser and then reach the construction site in different variants prepared according to the wishes of the builder. This is a big advantage compared the GRC which is produced by casting and thus it would be very expensive to get different sizes and designs of panels. In the same way as the CELLON® decorative panels can be cut and perforated, they can also be painted individually. Therefore, are more than 3000 different colours available. GRC in comparison is available in only a few colours. Also, the weight of CELLON® panels is much lower than for GRC with about 9kg per square meter. This makes it easier for installation and the sub construction will be cheaper.

GRC is also known as glassfibre reinforced concrete. The material has been used for facade cladding for a long time. But if builders are looking for a modern and more individual alternative to a GRC facade they will find it in the innovative material CELLON®. The material perfectly replaces GRC, Metal or Eternit and thus opens up many advantages that conventional building materials do not have. The alternative GRC facade on the basis of CELLON® is a ventilated, highly developed system based on a solid core plate.
